Morio Sayuri, object conservator

Born in Tokyo in 1981. After studying glass art at the University of the Arts London, worked at a mosaic studio in London for six years. Later began studying conservation, serving as an intern at the British Museum and working for two years at the Victoria and Albert Museum’s sculpture conservation department. Since returning to Japan in 2021, she has been employed as a part-time staff member at the Tokyo National Museum.

Concurrently works as a freelance conservator for museums and private individuals and is planning workshops to popularize conservation. Interested in children’s learning and in future would like to help disseminate awareness and education of conservation.
